Marion Aunor Plans to Write A Song for the Superstar!

By Alex Datu

At 23, she has bloomed into a talented sexy lady, a fashionista singer-composer and a budding actress. If plan push through, Marion Aunor is more than willing to compose a song for her aunt, the superstar, Nora Aunor. But she has to wait for another year until the next election is done.

Ate Guy might actively campaign for Sen. Grace Poe if she decide to run for the presidency. And she will personally seek help from the kind senator for her much needed surgery which affected her vocal chord. “Yes, of course! I would be very glad and willing to compose a song for her,” says the young Aunor. “I hope the operation would be successful. I want something touching since she’s a family.” “Sa tingin ko magandang concept ito,” she adds, “pero hindi ko pa naiisip kung papaano ito e-expand ‘yung idea. Siguro kapag nag brainstorm na kami, feeling ko mas maganda ang magagawa namin.”11923074_10153672644007323_577539014_n

Is she ready to be rejected by her multi-talented aunt if her composition doesn’t meet her standard? “I always welcome rejection because for me, it’s a challenge. Instead of fwwling nervous, parang mas excited ako na ma-achieve ko ito,” she replies.

On the other hand, Marion is still feeling on cloud 9 because her composition entitled “Take A Chance” was chosen as the song for the eviction night of PBB 737. “Happy talaga ako dahil napili ang song ko. It’s included in my first album and it’s about coming from a heartbreak and believing in love again.” She also sang “I Love You Always Forever” which is the theme song of the movie Ex With Benefits starring Derek Ramsay, Meg Imperial and Coleen Garcia, under Star Cinema.

She has written songs for Erik Santos and Alex Gonzaga which were part of their respective albums. She plans to compose songs for Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano. After releasing two albums, Marion admits that she has become a mature artist. “Aside from maturity, I guess I have become more edgy at mas sexy,” she smiles. Many have noticed too, that based from her pictures posted on the internet, she wants to be a model. “I just enjoy fashion kasi pag may nakikita ako sa Instagram ngayon na pina-follow ko para maging fashionista (laughs). “Gusto ko rin kasi maging known as a singer and songwriter na fasionista, at the same time. You know, para those people who follow me ma-inspire din sila.” Is she changing her image? “I’m not really changing my image,” she stresses. “Kung ano lang nakikita n’yo ngayon, I’m just enjoying it. And in terms of my songs, hindi lang naman all English ang nasa album ko. It’s a combination of English and tagalog. “I have two more albums na ilalabas, yung isa ay all English songs at mayroon din kaming all-Tagalog songs.”

Just like her iconic aunt, Nora, Marion has plunged into acting via the indie film Tibak: The Story of the Kabataang Makabayan (based on the story of Joma Sison, the founder of CPP). She plays the role of a beauty titlist who turned activist. “Dapat ganun ako ka-committed sa pagiging artista kasi nasanay ako as a singer na after the gig, tapos na agad,” she shares.”Pero ngayon, naghihintay ako ng maraming oras. Speaking of being an activist, was there a time in her life when she rebelled from her mom, Lala Aunor? “Noong high school, lagi akong naka-black.

Will singing be left behind when she pursues acting? “Hindi naman siguro mapapabayaan ang singing career ko. I think, puwede naman pagsabayin ang singing and acting. Marami naman ngayon artists ang pinagsasabay ang music and acting,”she insists.
