Billy Crawford To Marry Coleen, But When?
By Alex Datu
“Nakakahiya na nakaka-overwhelmed. It’s really a blessing para sa akin and to be given a chance na mabigyan ng pagkakataong tatlong beses akong napapanood in one day, but in fairness, iba- iba ‘yung shows. It’s a big opportunity talaga. Naniniwala ako na hindi ako ma-over expose kasi I think, hindi naman pare-parehong show ang mapapanood nila sa isang araw.”
Yesterday,Billy Crawford’s girlfriend Coleen Garcia celebrated her birthday. She turned 23 years old. They have a plan to celebrate it at the Hospicio De San Juan tomorrow (Saturday), because right now they are fully loaded with respective works.
“Our plan this Saturday is to go to Hospicio de San Jose, ang charity na gusto niyang tulungan at mag-party doon.
In our interview with him at the presscon of Celebrity Playtime, a new game show of Kapamilya, he admits that he is ready to marry his girlfriend Coleen, but when will be that red day is still uncertain. “I don’t wanna put numbers sa panahon kasi we know she is still young and she has many plans to do. So, I’m here to wait. Siguro, a little bit of prayers, and I don’t wanna say soon nor I don’t wanna say too long, ‘yung sakto lang,” he adds.
With his new show Celebrity Playtime, which will be aired every Saturday, after Home Sweetie Home, plus It’s Showtime and Your Face Sounds Familiar, he claims that hew always finds time for Coleen.
As a host, he admits that he has many things to thank Luis Manzano because before he plunged into hosting, he was more into dancing and singing. But it was Luis who helped him, and now, he can easily handle hosting job alone. “Sobrang-sobra ang naitulong niya sa akin in all technical aspect in hosting kasi matagal ko siyang nakasama bilang co-host sa ibang shows. To host alone, nandoon ang shining moment mo but it takes a lot of resposibility.
With the clamor of AlDub mania, many said It’s Showtime is now poor second to Eat Bulaga’s “Kalyeserye”, but Billy doesn’t want to make a comment about the rating ‘fight’ of the two noontime shows.
“I think right now, it’s not the right time for me or the right venue para ako ay magsalita kung anong nagyayari between sa dalawang networks. So, we are just here to enjoy what we do.
There was this issue that Joey de Leon tweeted on Billy’s account regarding the controversy of the two noontime show, but he admitted that he is not affected with it. He insists. “Every one is entitled to what they think and what they say. Hindi ko sila mako-control kasi wala naman ako sa kalingkingan nila at ako, no matter what happen, Tito, Vic and Joey, they’re pillars of the industry and you know, nirerespeto ko sila. “I’m just happy for now and excited na binigyan ako ng panibagong show. Actually, the show is not all about games but it concentrates on the real self of the contestants. They will just be in their real self, nag-eenjoy at walang pikonan kasi bawal ang pikon at walang basagan ng trip.”
In addition, Billy clarifies that his new show is not a competition game dahil ito ang klase ng games na puwedeng laruin sa Chrtimas party, house parties at medyo may pagka-wholesome pa. Billy claims that his only problem as a host when he encounters his being ‘bulol.’
