“Yes, I swim. I can stay under the water for 40 to 45 seconds. Pakiramdam ko, para akong niyayakap ng tubig. Nararandaman ko, I can feel the pressure of the water. Very solemn.”
Sexy and flawless Carla Humphries is one of the cast of Flotsam (she plays Mia), the owner of the hostel where the eight love stories of the said movie happened. Doing the role who loves the sea is not new to her because she grew up near the beaches of Batangas.
Born in San Francisco, USA, her family moved to France, Paris. Upon reaching eight years old, they came back to the country and stayed in Nasugbo, Batangas. Thus, it’s not surprising that she can swim and grew-up enjoying water sports, especially surfing.
She admitted that falling from a horse ride, roller blades and bicycle ride were part of her growing-up. And she always ended up with broken bones.
She learned the rudiments of surfing when she enrolled in a surfing school owned by Jeff Ortega, also one of the cast of the movie.
On her love life, it was surprising to note that she’s loveless as of now. It’s unbelievable that a beautiful and flawless like her has a zero love life. She just laughed it off when we inquired about Raymond Gutierrez who was linked to her a few years back.
But how true is the rumor that Carla is dating a guy not from showbiz named Niño Barbers. Some say, they’re allegedly seen on dates, but she burst out with a smile.
“Wala akong love life ngayon.
She denied the rumor that they stayed together under one roof because she lived with grandma. Masyado kaming na-in love sa isa’t isa.
When we interviewed her at the red carpet of Flotsam last Wednesday, we’ve learned the next day, she’ll be going to Batangas to register as first time voter.
She admitted that she is looking for a president who is loyal to his countrymen. The gender of who would be a president does not matter as long na puwede siyang mamumuno ng bansa,” she stressed.
But when asked who will be her president in the coming 2016 election, “Yun ang aalamin ko, tinitingan ko lahat ang choices at kapag confident na ako sa pipiliin ko, mag-oopen up ako,” she ended.
