Emmy Awards 2015 Best Dressed!
The big winner of the Emmy Awards 2015 was Game Of Thrones (one of my favorite TV shows) who broke the record, with 12 awards in a single year!
And now that we are all updated on the awards part of the night, lets get to the more interesting one. The red carpet of course! As usual, this was a star-studded event, with the biggest stars on television walking the carpet. So, let’s see who made an impact (in a good, and not so good way)!
Here are my picks:
Opening the list, we have one of my favorite looks! Emma Roberts in this Jenny Packham dress. It is unbelievable to see an actress of such a young age with such elegance. This old Hollywood look is so simple yet so gorgeous on her.
Continuing to prove that we can all take fashion cues from the young, we have the young actress of Modern Family, Sarah Hyland. She looks stunning in this simple form fitting Zac Posen dress.
Another young actress from Modern Family, Ariel Winter, looks sexy yet very classy in this simple red Romona Keveza dress.
I am so impressed with the classy style of these young actresses! This time we have Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones in an elegant jumpsuit by Galvan.
Another jumpsuit that I loved is this Jade Ulyana Sergeenko number. The color and shape suited Mad Men actress January Jones, beautifully.
A great example of one of the timeless fashion rules: always choose a color that suits your skin and shape that suits your body! Padma Lakshmihe, Top Chef host, looks ravishing in this simple yet sexy chartreuse Romona Keveza dress.
Going away from the simple form fitting dresses that seem to be the trend on the red carpet this year, we have Teyonah Parris (Mad Men) who looked just beautiful in this polka-dotted flowy dress.
This number isn’t a classic look, but the Scandal star, Kerry Washington (which I love!), is totally rocking in this Marc Jacobs mesh dress; and making it look like a classic too!
Now, since I am not a promoter of negativity and all that, I will let you make your own judgement on the next two numbers…
Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey) in a floral number.
Heidi Klum in a sheer dress by Versace.
Now that you’ve seen all the numbers that I think made a impact on the red carpet, I will leave you with THE dress that is most memorable and impactful to me; and which really does prove that the trend this year is of simple elegance.
It was a great surprise to see Lady Gaga (“crazy fashion” Pop star/American Horror Story actress) in this classic, and oh so simple one-shoulder black dress by Brandon Maxwell. Who knew she could look so classy! She looks absolutely gorgeous!
