After her controversial love affair with Rhian Ramos in The Richman’s Daughter, she’s now finding more time to prepare for a new album, and hopefully be active in campaigning for her next presidential candidate.
From Glitter.ph, a heartwarming congratulations to Glaiza de Castro for winning the PMPC 7th Star Awards for Music “Best Female Rock Artist of the Year” besting out Eunice’s “Happy Together” under Universal Records and Yeng Constantino’s “All About Love” under Star Music. Held last November 10 at the newly renovated KAI Theater, formerly New Frontier Theater in Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.
Her album Synthesis was nominated for Best Rock Album of the Year Award and Best Cover album of the Year Award. She was in a skimpy see-thru designed to her by Pat Chan when had our ‘stop-go-stop’ peg of an interview because this happened while the show was going on.
We learned, she just arrived from Canada with Julia Clarete of Eat Bulaga for a show, and the next day after the said awards night, she flew to Japan for her much needed vacation. “Pang-third time ko na ito sa Japan. Gusto kong magbakasyon doon kasi I love the ambiance ng lugar, sobrang peaceful at malinis.
We asked her why is she fascinated with samurai? “Mahilig ako sa mga pelikulang may samurai.” She answered.
She felt that she was already existing before the time of ninjas and samurai.
She was with Rhian Ramos in The Rich Man’s Daughter, a GMA-7 teledrama that dwelled on lesbianism. An intrigue came out that when the show ended, she felt something for Rhian. I really acted like a lesbian in love with Rhian at mabuti naman at na-tsismis akong lesbiana dahil effective ‘yung pagganap,” she laughed.
On the lighter side, Glaiza is being link to Benjamin Alves, a co-actor from GMA-7. “Wala ‘yun.
In the course of our conversation, we touched on leadership, and she told us that she had voted once already and this coming 2016 election, she will be exercising again her freedom to choose the right president to run our country for the next six years.
“Definitely, my one vote will be heard again.
And in addition, “Puwede ako mag-endorse ng isang kandidato and I can go out my way para ikampanya siya depende kung pinaniniwalaan ko ang kanyang plataporma para sa muling pagsusulong ng ating bansa.”
