Gov. Chavit Singson Clarifies His Relationship with Pops Fernandez, And Supports Manny Pacquiao in His Senatorial Bid

Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis Chavit Singson is known to be close to anybody in showbiz. As a politician, his name is easily link to any beautiful and sexy actress because of his generosity and kindness. Recently, his name is being dragged again. This time with no other than but the concert queen, Pops Fernandez.
Although he admitted that he’s close to Pops, the governor was quick to explain the real score between them. “Magkaibigan lang kami ni Pops at madalas kaming lumabas pero with a group. Although that time na nni li-link kami, may boyfriend s’ya. Tapos nagkaroon sila ng di pagkakaintindihan kaya medyo malungkot siya, kaya malungkot din ako. Kaya kailangan hanapan ko sya ng bago para maging maligaya din sya uli,” he smilingly said.
Manong Chavit gave a message to people who misconstrue their friendship, “Well, wala tayong magagawa d’yan dahil yung mga ganyang tao walang magawa sa buhay. “Yan kasi naiingit, puro negatibo, hindi na natin papansinin yan masama yan dapat positibo lang tayong lahat,” he added.
Known by his friends as a matchmaker, he has successfully paired one of his showbiz friends, Vina Morales, with her present partner. “Yung mga kaibigan ko naman e, lahat sila gusto ko magkaroon sila ng kaligayahan sa buhay at finally makatagpo sila ng nababagay sa kanila na tapat, at pag masaya na sila masaya na din ako,” he shared.
Now that it is election fever, Manong Chavit said that he gives his full support to his friend, the “People’s Champ” and Saranggani Representative, Manny Pacquiao in his candidacy for the senatorial race in next year’s election.
“I gave him an advice bilang isang kaibigan,” said the boxer’s mentor. “Bhira lang sa isang boxer ang narating nya, siguro wala pang nakarating ng ganyan. Anyway, andyan na yan wala akong magawa kundi suportahan sya”. Meanwhile, he’s in New York now to support Pacquiao who’s receiving an award in recognition for his boxing achievement.
On the other hand, the former governor was asked, who is he going to support for president this 2016 election? ” Wala pa,” quickly he answered, “kasi wala nako sa politics, at hindi na ako tatakbo. Kakausapin pa namin yung mga leader sa North, mga governors, incumbent leaders, at alamin kung sino ang gusto nila at pag-aralang mabuti ang pipiliin. Kami naman mga Ilokano susunod kami lahat basta inaakala namin na makakatulong sa ating bansa.”
