“Wala naman, wala pa. I wouldn’t say anything because our relationship is full of good vibes and we just wanna keep it positive and keep our love life healthy. You know that chismis is chismis and it’s always gonna be there. Basta we know that what we are doing is right.”
In our recent interview with Matteo Guidicelli, one of the stars of Dolce Amore, told a group of reporters how he felt with the success of his latest teleserye with Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. He even reacted to the mixed reactions he got in social media. “it’s very nice kasi it’s all creative criticism, di ba, and I’m masaya kasi Dolce Amore rating is doing very well, and we got a lot of nice and bad comments on line, so it’s very nice,” he said.
Recently, Matteo was on fire in social media when former politician and journalist, Teddy Boy Locsin, alleged ‘made some nasty comments in regard to his role as Gian Carlo de Luca, an Italian businessman in Dolce Amore. And his reaction was, “Tumawa nalang ako kasi na reasearch ko naman yung mga accent na iyan kasi Italiano naman ako kumbaga na trabaho naman natin yung character na iyan.”
He was asked if he was affected with the accent issue, he said, “Hindi naman. You know all of us, Liza ,Enrique and myself we give our best, like we gave time to develop our character and we researched about our character just to give our best. Meron din italian tutor just to make everything is properly uttered, aside from the fact that i grew up with Italian parents. So i speak the language, yun marami akong peg to do so.”
Matteo would also like to thank LizQuen fans for not bashing him as the third wheel of their favorite love team. “Very nice people, wala naman akong bashers ngayon. Lizquen are really, really nice, they’re very warm and cool and I really like them. So maraming maraming salamat sa inyo,” he said.
Aside from his showbiz interest, Matteo discovered something new that he really loved doing. “Mayroon din akong isang trabaho na gusto, yung pagiging waiter. i just gained respect, like 50 times for waiters. It’s not an easy job kaya sa lahat ng mga waiters diyan congratulations sa inyo dahil hindi madali ang trabaho ninyo,” he explained. “i just opened a restaurant and I worked their when I’m free. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, ‘Wow ang hirap pala nito this is so stressful. Parang artista din e, kumbaga pag mahirap yung situations, pag lalabas ka dapat naka smile ka pa rin, parang showbiz din e.”
He was asked about his experience as a hands-on restaurateur. “Masaya dahil kinakausap mo sila habang binebentahan mo binobola mo sila, minsan it’s nice kasi it’s like you enter my home in the restaurant,” he said. “Everything is Italian. This is everything I eat since I was a child. This is the story of our two main cooks, our staff that we had for 25 years, with my grandparents, so they speak the language already. They speak Italian everyday so they are in charged their now, so it’s everything Italian and it’s special all the time.”
A few weeks ago, his girlfriend Sarah Geronimo went to Cebu to celebrate his birthday. He was asked to tell more about the celebration. “Yes, she was there on my birthday. We were there for a weekend and it was a Black Saturday kasi Holy Week. Okay naman, masaya dahil unang una kasama ko buong pamilya ko at siya syempre,” he related. “I was very thankful finally we’re all together, my family and Sarah.”
Matteo was asked when will be the right time for him to get married? “I guess di natin alam, kung mangyayari ay mangyayari. We don’t know yet,” he answered.
If the ritght time comes, will he prefer to be married in Italy or in Cebu?
“Di ko pa talaga alam, iisipin pa natin ‘yan,” he smiled.
