“I believed I did my best when i represented our country,” Lubina said. “I want to be complete and well-prepared in representing our country,” Catacutan shared.

Binibining Pilipinas-International 2015 Janicel Lubina is home, and she was presented to the press last Monday (Nov. 9), fresh from being a Top 10 finalist in the recent Miss International held in Japan last Nov 5. She also bagged Best Dresser award wherein she wore a Flipiniana gown designed by Leo Almodal.  Miss Venezuela, Edymar Martinez is this year’s winner.

The Palawenya beauty readily accepted her fate for not getting the crown.  She was even more than accommodating in telling her many experiences in Japan and the feeling of meeting by many candidates, especially Latina beauties. And most of them became her friends. She even got invitations from co-candidates to travel to their countries. Others even asked her to teach them catwalk since many of them were all impressed on how she walked on stage. And all of that she is happy and contented being a finalist.

“Feeling ko wala lang sa akin ang destiny, but all the things needed to win ay nasa akin naman, pinakita ko naman yung best ko, nakita naman lahat ng tao yun. Siguro may plan na iba si God para sa akin. Siguro hindi talaga para sa atin ang Miss International crown for this year, and siguro kakapanalo rin lang natin last 2013, one year ago pa lang, I know naman na may plano si God after this,” Lubina said.

Now that she’s back and done in representing our country, Janicel wants to focus her time on finishing her studies.

“For now, I would like to continue my studies.” I’m still in first year taking up tourism management. Gusto ko after my studies ay maging flight attendant. I just realized how wonderful to travel sa iba’t ibang bansa, ang ganda pag-aralan ang iba’t-ibang culture,” Lubina added.

Aside from Lubina, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. also presented Bb.Pilipinas-Supranational Rogelie Catacutan for her official send off. She will be leaving this Sunday to Krynica-Zdroj, Poland, where she will compete for this year’s Miss Supranational.

The 24-year old Cebuana, a registered nurse, is excited to target the second Supranational Crown for the country. She said that it will be the best Christmas present she will receive in case she wins.

“Now I’m just focusing on myself, especially when it comes to exercise, diet, pasarela. I’ve done that months before, alam mo yung mag concentrate lang ako, meditate, and think of the things I want to think when I go to Poland. It’s not easy to be away from my Family, it’s not easy to be away from my country, so when I go there I want to be complete. I want to represent the country very well. It’s been my dream to go abroad not just that, but represent my country at the same time, and to win in international competition.” Catacutan said.
