In her first solo concert, Her Highness, the “Queen Mother” is now ready to prove that she is not just a stage mother, but also the “Queen of Stage.”

In this interview, along with some reporters, Karla Estrada was in the mood to answer gamely all the questions thrown to her.  Does she feel the pressure now that people might compare her concert with  her son’s (Teen King Daniel Padilla) past successful shows?

Karla has already proven something to herself, that singing helped her raised her kids and also her family.

The “Queen Mother” even revealed that experienced singing in the funeral wake. “Marami , meron mga out of town shows, hotel , basta kahit saan, kumanta pa nga ako sa lamayan e pero mahal kasi mayaman yung namatay e. Lalabas din ang mga hugot songs na pinagdaanan ko isa itong malaking storya ng buhay ko ang concert pero ang pinaka importante ang focus dito ang pagiging nanay ko because yung Queen Mother word na iyan Queen ako for my children, and I believe lahat ng nanay Queen para sa mga anak nila,” she explained.

And how did her kids react when they learned about her first solo concert?

Recently, the “Queen Mother” signed a two-year exclusive contract with kapamilya network and she was asked how does she feel about it.

Karla also answered the query that she might replace the timeslot left by Kris TV.

Given a chance to have her own TV show, what genre will it be, and she said, “I’d like to have a travel show ganun , kasi gustong puntahan ang lahat ng sulok ng Pilipinas kasi ang dami pang di nalilibot pero gusto ko yung masa yung affordable, mas gusto ko yung ganun kasi mas masaya ako doon.”

The” Queen Mother” is also open for possible project with son Daniel and screen partner Kathryn Bernardo. “Ang cute kasi,” she said. “At  mahihiya ‘yun. Siguro matatanggal naman, but we’ll never know, di naman natin masabi e, kasi nasabi ba natin na mangyayari ito hindi di ba, kaya tignan nalang natin what’s in store for me and for us. Abangan natin iyan.”

On the other hand, the “Queen Mother” defended his son Daniel from bashers. “Alam mo ang sarap sagutin niyan, sobrang sarap sagutin niyan sa ganyang panahon ng campaign period, it’s a bashing period, kahit nga yung normal lang na araw na ba-bash tayo ngayon pa na mayroon kalaban na tinatawag sa pulitika kaya that’s so normal, wala akong pinag aalala diyan ang importante alam ko, at alam ng anak ko at ng buong pamilya ko na nasa tama ang aming pinag lalaban,” she lamented.

Since Daniel was already endorsing Mar Roxas, she also admitted that she’s also suppoorting the said presidentiable. “i can say I am, dapat ganun isang banka kayo parang hindi naman pwede na nasa Kapamilya ang anak, tapos pupunta ako ng ibang bakuran, diba hindj nga ito kailangan lahat e dapat ganun kasi ganun ang pamilya e dapat solid.”

Meanwhile, Karla assured everyone the her “HER HIGHNESS“ concert (April 30, Kia theater), would  showcase her vocal power and natural humor, and she will be joined by her closest friends from Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 1, plus surprise special guests. For the meantime, Karla stays as one of the judges of It’s Showtime’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan.
