It was a sad morning for Vice Ganda the other day when he learned the sudden death of his good friend, Direk Wenn Deramas. And because of that, he wasn’t able to finish his show It’s Showtime that day because of sadness and grieve. As everybody knows, it was Direk Wenn who directed all the box-office movies of the comedian-host.

In this interview at the studio of his noontime show,  Vice was in all tears, reminiscing the good old days working with the director. And until he couldn’t believe that his friend is gone forever.

Vice vividly remembered the last time they have talked. “Masayang naghaharutan kami sa Facebook messenger,” he related, “kasi pinadalhan niya ako ng friendship flower parang chain letter na send this flower to your friends tapos if you believed that I’m a good friend send this back to me, tapos sinagot ko siya ng AYOKO, tapos sabi niya ‘miss sent hindi talaga para sa iyo yan’ sagot ko para sa akin yan coz I’m you’re best friend, wag mo ako pinag loloko.

For Vice, he never thought that those flowers were signs of death. “Ngayon ko lang na realize na pag puro pagpapadala ng flowers ang pinag-uusapan, siguro unconsciously yun ang pinapahiwatig nun, kaya ayaw ko kasi ayaw ko talaga magpadala ng bulaklak sa kanya kasi it could mean something, it will mean goodbye,” he said.

According to Vice the last time they’ve talk personally was when they both watched on the first night of Madonna’s concert. And the director told him that he would personally check it for him.

The “Unkabogable star” wanted to ask everyone to remember Direk Wenn in showbiz  who brought smiles and happiness during Christmas.

At this moment, Vice admitted that he cannot understand how he feels with his friend’s demise. Hindi ko talaga alam,” he said.

Vice was asked what lesson he learned from the award-winning director? “Huwag madamot, Direk Wenn was so generous! The body of the box office director remains at the Arlington Funeral Home in Quezon City.
