Now that Aiai delas Alas and Kris Aquino are out of the reality show, Kapamilya network assured the public that there will be bigger, bolder and better…and perhaps more reliable (?) judges to replace the former BFFs.
After the success of the four seasons of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT), the show is back to give new showbiz hopefuls to reach stardom and fame. In preparation of the upcoming airing of the show’s new season, ABS-CBN management has
PGT has also a new set of judges to replace comedy queen Aiai Delas Alas and Kris Aquino who have been a part the show from seasons 1 to 4.
Here are the new faces of Pilipinas Got Talent…
From action star to hosting, Robin Padilla is now ready to face another milestone as he was introduced as one of the judges of PGT. He was asked how would he pick qualified contestants and he replied, “Ako po ay kakampi ng mga contests, ako po ay di masyadong mahigpit, hindi din mahiging maluwag, ako ay hindi mag mamagaling, na sasabihin ko ang mga bagay na gusto ko.”
And how would it be liked when it comes to his working relationship with his co-judeges, especially that he is known to be closed with FMG (Ferddie M. Garcia)?
“S’yempre magkaiba kami ng style kasi si FMG star builder yon, magkaiba kami. Ako kasi kung s’ya nasa tuktok naka tingin ako kasi hindi hawak ko kamay nila,” he said.
Robin was also asked how he feel right now as one of the judges of the country’s top-rating show? “Mas mahirap dito kasi from hosting balance ka dapat dito kung sino yung makikita mong may potensiyal. Sorry nalang yung iba malamang mag abono nanaman ako dito.” he laughed.
From noontime show jurado and host, Vice Ganda sets another criteria as he will pick his choice to win this competition in the coming days. As he was introduced as one of the newest judges in the show, he said, “Gusto ko yung ma touch yung kaluluwa ko, hindi lang yung mabubusog ang mata ko at tenga ko.”
Is he ready to defend his choices against FMG? “Oo, ready na ako at magkaroon ng fun time with them. Masayang experience ang gusto kong magkaroon dito sa PGT,” he stressed.
Know to be strict and stern when it comes to judging, he defended him self and explained, “Siguro matagal na akong napapanuod mag-judge ng mga tao e. Ang laki din ng pa-premyo nila, dalawang milyon gusto ko maging deserving ang mananalo ayaw kong maging “PILIPINAS HOT AWA” lang ang palabas natin gusto ko matalino, mahusay at talagang deserving at ang lahat ng makakanood ay mag desisyon na tama yung napili namin.”
And how is his working relationship with his co-judges? “Okay naman,” he smiled. “Okay kami ni Angel, si Robin okay naman din, si FMG syempre hindi naman kami nakakapag chikahan pareho, pero okay naman kami.”
And one the sexiest contract artists of Kapamilya network, Angel Locsin made another milestone in her career as she joined the illustrious list of judges.
“Mabait na may topak, kasi way back nagkaroon ako ng opportunity na magpakita ng talent kasi may nag bigay sakin ng chance,” as she explained her side. “So ngayon, gusto ko sana na suklian kung ano yung binigay sakin na chance ng mga tao gusto kong mag yes sa lahat, pero hindi naman pwede kasi kailangan natin maging honest and fair sa iba natin contestants.”
And how will be her working relationship with her co-judges? “Mahirap magsabi ng pinaka close, pero si kuya Binoe naka trabaho ko naman dati. Si Vice naman sa Showtime, si FMG naman dito ko lang makakasama pero napaka bait nilang lahat,” she answered.
She also claimed her criteria to choose her bets. “Ako po syempre dapat pang world-class ang talent pero hindi lang talaga yung talent ang susi, para maging sikat ka at mahalin ka ng tao. Dapat may good attitude din, dapat may magic.”
Recently, Angel went to Singapore to have treatment on her spine problem, the main reason why she turned down the movie Darna. She was asked if she would reconsider her decision. Siguro kung ano yung makakapag pasaya sakin, nakapag pa interview na po ako about that,” as she ended with a smile
From celebrity judges to Star Builder and the original judge of PGT, Freddie M. Garcia (FMG) had this to say regarding the new season.
“We have a lot of talents in the Philippines, and we hope to discover them from there destination,” he stressed.
A former ABS-CBN executive, what does he think of the new set of judges. “Yun ang masaya and hilarious. We have three new judges and they have different personalities. We have action star Robin na mabait, also Angel Locsin na mabait, pero si Vice Ganda medyo strict and marunong,” he opined.
And what would be the qualifications of the contestants they are looking for to win this battle? “Yun ang mahirap e, there’s so many talent shows, medyo nahihirapan din, so we are hoping to find the best talents that we have,” he said.
As of now Pilipinas Got Talent is now conducting auditions on the three different places nationwide. The talent show is ready to air its pilot episode on January 30 after the grand finals of Dance Kids.
