Raymond Cabral believes acting has no limit, as long as needed
“Just like any new comer in the industry, nangarap din akong ma-recognize sa aking acting abilty. And I will not stop improving myself hanggang mapatunayan ko sa kanila that I’m serious in this career.”
After his successful stint and got good reviews from the afternoon soap Pasion de Amor, indie actor and international model Raymond Cabral is back in the boob tube. This time, he’s part of ABS-CBN’s afternoon soap We Will Survive (WWA), with comedienne lead stars Pokwang and Melai Cantiveros. He will be playing the role of Lando, the younger brother of Edwin, played by Jeric Raval, with Marissa Delgado and Tony Manalo as their parents.
“I’m very thankful to Kapamilya management for this opportunity,” said the hunk.” “I would also like to thank Direk Jeffrey Jeturian for trusting me and making me a part of this project. I hope hindi ko sya mabigo sa tiwalang ibinigay nya sa akin.”
As of now, Raymond just finished two indie films, Amalanhig, a horror film directred by Jun Posadas, and an advocacy film entiled Sa Isang Iglap under Neal Tan. He is the leading man of both films. This guy from Cavite was introduced in the movie Tutok (2009) directed by Joven Tan, and was followed by more indie movies, such as, Marino, Baklas, and Tanglaw, also directed by Neal Tan. He was also part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 entry Magnum 357.
As a model, Raymond traveled in Asian countries doing ramp for two years in some key cities (like Hong Kong, Macau, etc.) in the region. He was the endorser of Page Jeans and Above Aesthetics. He was also featured as one of the models of the annual Cosmo Bachelor show in 2014.
If he’s not busy attending his showbiz and modeling commitments, Raymond is a hands-on owner and manager of his business, MAKERZ Gym and a computer shop, located in Bulihan, Silang, Cavite.
“Ang lahat ng ito ay galing sa naipon ko as a model. I know that in showbiz wala namang assurance na it’s going to be forever kaya I decided to put up my own business for my future. Although I love acting so much, at least kahit papaano may income ako kung madalang ang movie offers,” said the young entrepreneur.
