Never outwitting with each other on cam, the love team of CharDawn’s ultimate secret is that they love their work so much, and they know the difference between reel and real.
Come November, another much-awaited teleserye from the Kapamilya network, will hit your home screens. And this time, it will bank on the 25-year old love team of the country’s formidable duo, Richard Gomez and the beautiful Dawn Zulueta (CharDawn).
In celebration of their silver anniversary as screen partners this month, You’re my Home is set to change your home viewing habit. The stars happily share to us the story of the new soap and the roles they are to portray.
Richard said, “Very excited dahil bagong teleserye nanaman ito at kami Dawn uli ang mag kasama. We are so happy kasigaling kami ngWalang Hanggan, then Love Affair, so sana magustuhan at suportahan pa din kami ng mga fans.”
On the other hand, Dawn added, “It’s a family drama, yung pinagdadaanan ng pamilya. May mga anak kami dito, si Jessy Mendiola, Sam Concepcion and Paul Salas. It’s a nice family drama, at para maiba naman sa past projects naming.”
While they are making some preparations for the soap, it was also evident that they are having fun together, as their tandem getting stronger. In spite of the many young love teams today, how do they keep their tandem a success?
“We are just so happy than until now, marami pa rin ang sumusubaybay sa amin ni Richard,” Dawn shared. “Siguro ibang flavor naman ang nahahatid ng CharDawn sa audience natin.”
Do they still feel any pressure after a long time of being together as a love team?
“If you think nalaging maganda ang mga kwento na naibibigay natin sa audience, I believe you don’t have to feel any pressure at all,” Richard replied. While Dawn answered, “As much as possible, we try to choose the project at material na gagawin natin, at siyempre, at the end of the day, nasa mga manonood pa din kung magugustuhan tayo, lalo na yung pinapanood nila.”
Richard and Dawn also pinpointed the main factor of their strong working relationship . “I think kaya nagtatagal ang CharDawn kasi may pagka-historic ang tandem namin, and we are rich in history”. As we all know, they started in the hit film Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit in 1991, produced by Reyna Films.
Now that CharDawn is celebrating its silver love team anniversary, they have some pieces of advise to the young generation of love teams in the industry.
“Maybe because wala silang naririnig na negative things about us,” he said. “Kaya din siguro nabubuwag ang mga love teams kasi nag aaway sila or may personal na away biglang nagka-girlfriend yung isa,nagka-boyfriend yung isa, tapos ayaw na nila magkatrabaho together. Kami kasi, although may kanya-kanya na kaming mga asawa, pero naiintindihan ng mga fans na kami ay isang love team lang.”
And she added, “As an actor,or as a performer, kailangan nahihiwalay mo yung personal life mo at yung trabaho mo para hindi mo dinadala sa work yung mga personal aspects mo, lalo na kung may problema ka. Kailangan talaga professional ka, kung nahihiwalay mo yung dalawa, at least you’re on a right path.”
Meanwhile, all the members of the cast of the CharDawn new venture, Your my Home, were present for this pictorial. The controversial Jessy Mendiola arrived but chose not to be interviewed. Obviously, she was evading the press.
