“I really love the Philippines. Even my dad, who is a taxi driver, every time I give him money, he will always tell me to donate it to Filipinos who are in need kasi dahil sa lahat ng blessings na natanggap ko dito. Dapat I will always share sa mga nangangailangan dahil malaki ang utang na loob ko sa Philippines.”

After his first music video Shopping reached an impressive 2 million hits on social media last year, the PBB alumnus is back again in his second music video entitled Like Love Follow. So far, it has been getting good reviews since it was uploaded on YouTube a few days ago. The video is co-produced by Skinny Fat Boy Productions, the same team behind the success of  Shopping.

“It’s my first time to rap and my first time to sing in Tagalog,,” said the Korean comedian. “This song talks about the social media attitudes of the netizens; you like kung ikaw ay nasa Facebook, tapos you love kung nasa Instagram ka, at yung follow ay sa Twitter.”

“Matagal ko na talagang gustong mag rap kahit bulol ako,” added the It’s Showtime co-host.  “Kaya ginawa ko for fun. But I want to learn more about rapping para magawa ko uli in my next music videos.” And just like his past music video, this Like Love Follow is also a self-produced  which he considered a birthday gift to himself.

Just like the past music video, Like Love Follow also features some of the big stars of ABS-CBN, like FHM’s sexiest woman Jessy Mendiola, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Kim Atienza, Vhong Navarro, and seasoned news anchors Gretchen Fullido, Bernadettte Sembrano and kabayan Noli de Castro.  “I personally talked to my guests sa music video kasi we didn’t pay them to appear. Kaya malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa kanila,” he stressed.

At this moment, Ryan is so proud of his first music video because it would be aired in KBS (Korea Broadcasting System) this week, and it will be seen all over Korea. For him, it would be the best chance to market the Philippines as a tourist destination. And any time soon, we will be appearing as a guest in a Korean teleserye. And he’s so excited with this development in his career.

“I’m really excited kasi aside from my Shopping music video, sa Korean teleserye na ito makikita na rin ako ng mga Filipinos sa buong mundo. And Koreans will also see me all over the world but can speak Tagalog kahit bulol,” he laughed. “And I would like to thank all Filipinos who supported me. At habang buhay ko talaga ipro-promote ko ang Philippines. Kaya di ko talagang kayang iwanan ang Philippines.”

As the only child, Ryan felt so blessed even if his parents were separated when he was ten years old. And that’s the reason why he came to the country with his mother. Because of his funny side, he was able to enter kuya’s house of the reality show PBB some six years ago. Since then his life has changed since he joined showbiz. He became a regular co-host of It’s Showtime and a comedian in Banana Sundae.

As a Star Magic artist, Ryan recorded his first album  I Lilli Lilly Like It: Ryan Bang Party Party Hits! in 2011. And with his new music video on YouTube, he hoped netizens all over the world could notice him as the first Korean to rap and sing in Tagalog. In the future when he can fluently speak Tagalog, he hoped to be featured in MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya), both as an artist and his story.
