StarStruck 6 Goes Twisted: Dreamers vs. Believers
By Alwin M. Ignacio
After what happened during the first live telecast (from 35 hopefuls, now there’s only 28 left), of the sixth incarnation of StarStruck, the playing field has become more exciting, if not twisted, as there are two groups who will be battling it out for artista supremacy.
This is the first time that there will be two groups who will compete and fight to be part of the “Ultimate 14.”
The “Ultimate 14” will be made known after these two rival groups will subject themselves and face more challenges in the days to come.
Part of this season’s “Dream 14” are composed of Liezel Lopez, Kevin Sagra, Mariam Al-Alawi, Avery Paraiso; Klea Pineda, Koreen Medina, Joemarie Nielsen, Kyle Vergara, Carl Cervantes, Elyson de Dios, Marion Garcia, Analyn Barro, April Scott and Ayra Mariano.
The young gents and misses who make up the “Believe 14” are Claire Vande, Arra San Agustin, Allysa de Real, Nikki Co, Jay Arcilla, James Teng, Migo Adecer, Camille Torres, Princess Guevarra, Chat Bornea, Faith da Silva , Beatriz Imperial, Arjan Jimenez and Prince Clemente.
Based on “artista looks” and “first impression,” both teams are on equal footing. As the survival of the fittest journey begins, this season truly is an exciting one.
During the initial live show, the StarStruck council were all present – entertainment guru Joey de Leon, the Original Starstruck female victor Jennylyn Mercado and Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, who sang “Mangarap Ka” as the warring teams listened appreciatively. Host Dingdong Dantes is also part of the council.
Megan Young, a StarStruck finalist and the star of MariMar, was in true Miss World form in her splendid all black gown.
So, who do you think has the talent and X-Factor to realize their dreams? Starstruck airs nightly before 24 Oras on Kapuso network.
