In the heart of Capitol Commons, opens a bread store that offers a wide array of yummy baked products; from your favorite Pandesal and Putok, to sandwiches and Lasagna. A good taste of Panna Cotta is also in the house. Check it out!
Own and managed by Chef Miraflor Cruz, a former faculty chef of Center for Culinary Arts Manila, she emphasizes that Artisan Emporium is standing to its name where breads they offer is manually hand-crafted, and not by machine; from the range of juices, to margarine, jams and even cheeses, all are hard work masterpieces. Among its best sellers are French breads, the Pinoy’s Pandesal, Spanish Bread, Ensaymada with salted eggs and Empanada.
The lady chef assures everyone that the bread they sell are all free from additives or preservatives. “I’m very particular with it, especially now a days that education on what we eat is very important,” she tells. We tried the Putok and Spanish Bread, and it is one of a kind. You can immediately taste the difference from the usual bakeshop chains you know. The softness is real, especially when it’s hot.
But Artisan Emporium has a potential wide retail market, that’s why they offer a variety of products, such as, Truffle Mushroom soup (a highly recommended one, and best paired with a sumptuous Buttered Yoghurt spread on a bread of your choice). They have Lasagna, Chicken Galantina, Sandwiches and a wide selection of deserts.
Cruz shares that since the store opened, Panna Cotta, so far, is the best seller (Salted Graham), followed by the Red Velvet flavor, and then the Dark Chocolate Panacota. By the way, they also have Pizza. Their Blueberry Cheesecake is also a stand out. In terms of prices, you don’t have to worry because its affordable.\
