Fashion from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and the 70’s would be coming back to make a statement.
This 2016, vintage fashion would be in. The ladylike bags of the 50’s, the statement earrings of the 60’s and the sky-high platforms of the 70’s – all with an eccentric commonality. Lots of printed fabrics would be coming out. Use of furs and accessories from the vintage era would all be coming out again.
As vintage influences the trend for 2016, vintage style sleeves would definitely be coming out. English Victorian era would influence the sleeves and the design of the fabrics. Laces as inspired by the Victorian era would definitely be coming out but in a sheer, bolder, sexier, and a more modern look.
The 70’s trend has remained strong. It has materialized mostly as a modern take on clean, casual separates in rich neutrals. This 70’s is all about the band. Mixed prints, chiffon dresses and embellished flares layered with suede jackets or Mongolian fur jackets. Slouchy, low rise trousers would also be coming out as influenced by the 70’s fashion. Print over print would be coming out as printed fabric would be very visible this year. Tie dye as influenced by the 70’s era would also be coming out.
Many of 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s era would influence the silhouette of the dresses and formal wears. Very classic and minimal in terms of design and embellishments, drapings would be very visible for 2016. In terms of colors, the palettes would be very calming as it pays homage to the beauty of natural resources. Colors serve as vehicles that transport the wearers to more tranquil, mindful environment which encourage relaxation first followed by curiosity and exploration. Colors this season also transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves. Rose quartz, peach echo, serenity blue, snorkel blue, buttercup yellow, limpet shell, lilac gray, fiesta, iced coffee and green flash would be the in shades for 2016.
