“Kaya gusto ko rin maging inspiration sa mas maraming tao na dapat no matter what you do in life dapat tatapusin mo pa din ang pag aaral mo kasi yun yung mag hone sa iyo to be a better person someday.”
Aside from being one of the country’s known best cosplayers, former Pinoy Big Brother ‘s teen housemate winner Myrtle Sarossa shared another milestone in her life right now. In this glitter.ph interview, during the pictorial for her latest endorsement, Myrtle claimed that she was very grateful and feel blessed for all good things happening her life now.
“Sobrang sunod-sunod po ang mga blessings nangyayari sa akin ngayon. Although medyo tired, minsan nasa Umagang Kay Ganda pa ako,” she shared. “This year has been a blessing for me kasi I’m a part of Super D tapos i have this endorsement and i have an album coming out next month. Kaya sobrang grateful ako talaga.”
In line with her album, Myrtle had this to say: “Yung album ko is different from the usual music natin dito sa Philippines, pero most of the songs are written by me, so lahat based on my life story, based on my love stories, kaya exciting at napaka kulay.”
She was asked who her musical influences are, and she replied, “Yung influence ko talaga sa album is yung hilig ko sa writing ng song at sa rap , kasi nung nag Your Face Sounds Familiar ako, nakita nila na may talent daw ako sa pag rap, like sir Gary Valenciano. At sinabihan nila ako na kailangan ko daw to pursue that, and four months later after YFSF nabigyan na ako ng opportunity para magsulat ng sarili kong kanta.” The album will be released in June.
Myrtle shared that despite of her busy schedule from series of TV appearances, hosting and writing songs to recording her own album, she managed her time to pursue and hopefully finish her studies this December.
“Kasi in life naman dapat pinag hahandaan mo lahat ng nangyayari sayong buhay,” she stressed. “That’s why hindi talaga dapat pinababayan ang studies mo.” Myrtle happily announced that she will be graduating from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) with flying colors.
“Ngayon po kasi nag aaral ako ng BA Broadcast Communication and I’m graduating this December. Sobrang swerte ko kasi ngayon kahit pinag sasabay ko ang school, work at yung recording , ngayon kasi I’m running for cum laude and isa yun na napaka gandang blessing,” she revealed.
With all the wonderful things happening in her life (work and studies), Myrtle was asked where did she get the inspiration. “Yun ginagawa ko lang talaga, kailangan mo lang i-motivate mo ang sarili mo na dapat no matter what you do, always give your all if you’re gonna do something. At kung mayroon kang gagawin, huwag lang yung basta basta nalang gawin mo. Dapat yung best mo palagi ang ibigay mo. Since ibinigay mo na rin ang effort mo, ibigay mo na lahat,” she replied.
On the lighter side, Myrtle was asked how is her love life now. She laughed and said, “Yung puso ko ngayon nag-iisa! (giggles…), kaya yung mga kantang sinusulat ko makaka relate yung mga In-love, makaka relate din yung mga single kasi exciting ang mga songs. Ito yung mga songs na nararanasan ng mga ka edad ko as well as yung mga people older than me, kaya it’s inspiring.”
From recent reports, Myrtle confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with Brian Llmanzares (yes, the son of Sen.Grace Poe). She also claimed that she’s not dating anyone after Brian. So, when do you think is the best time to fall in love again? She answered, “Feeling ko the best time to be inspired is when you finally become the Miss Right, and when you’re finally a Miss Right, Mister Right Comes in, kasi kung dumating nga si Mister Right but you’re not the right person, hindi talaga kayo para sa isa’t-isa.”
